Blackthorn is one of the small, often evanescent, traditions of what has come to be known stateside as British Traditional Witchcraft/Wicca or BTW. Its history can be traced back to early 1995, when its founders began practicing this style of craft together independently of their parent tradition. They continued to work, train, and initiate in this manner for many years, though it was not officially named until the summer of 2015, when the current initiates together voted to call their path "Blackthorn." At the time of its naming, there were initiates and covens scattered over three states. Inquiries may be made to blackthornwicca@gmail.com.
